our commitment

forge is committed to providing a harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, religion (or lack thereof), or technology choices.

we do not tolerate harassment of participants in any form. participants violating these rules may be sanctioned or expelled from the event at the discretion of the organizers.

expected behavior

• be kind and respectful to others

• focus on building and shipping

• help your fellow builders

• give constructive feedback

• respect others' time and work

• follow the no-assholes policy strictly

unacceptable behavior

• harassment, intimidation, or discrimination

• offensive comments related to protected characteristics

• unwelcome sexual attention or advances

• deliberate intimidation, stalking, or following

• sustained disruption of talks or other events

• inappropriate physical contact

• advocating for or encouraging any of the above behavior

consequences

anyone asked to stop unacceptable behavior is expected to comply immediately.

if a participant engages in unacceptable behavior, the organizers may take any action they deem appropriate, including warning the offender or expulsion from the event with no refund.

reporting

if you are being harassed, notice that someone else is being harassed, or have any other concerns, please contact the organizers immediately.

this code of conduct applies to all forge spaces, including the residency venue, online communications, and any forge-related social events.
